Adequate space: The exercise gym should be suitable in terms of physical dimensions. The height, width, and length of the exercise hall should be sufficient. Sufficiency is based on the number of equipment and services that are available. The number of people practicing at the same time should always be determined based on the space of the exercise hall. A large number of simultaneous practitioners reduces the quality of other clients’ training.

General cleanliness: There should be constant cleanliness in the gym. Some clubs clean only once or only a limited number of times during the day, while cleaning should be done continuously. The cleaning of the locker room and toilets is always emphasized. Cleaning the sweat on the devices and training the floor is also important for the safety of customers. Suitable flooring for the gym should be considered which can be easily cleaned. Having a suitable shower with a sufficient number based on the number of practicing people at the gym, is also one of the important points in general cleaning.

Light and sound: There should be proper light for training. If music is played, make sure it is not annoying for everyone.

Adequate air conditioning: There should be sufficient air conditioning in the gym based on the season.

Nutrition and rest area: A part of the gym should be considered for male the food and drink. Also, in the hall, there should be a section for rest and multi-person meetings, so that the athlete is not busy eating or chatting with friends in front of the exercise machine.

Measuring tools: An ideal gym should be equipped with at least tools for exercise tests such as weight and height and equipment for measuring body fat, BMI, and some devices as well as a body composition analyzer. Of course, along with more advanced equipment, the relevant expert must be present.

First aid equipment: First aid equipment is one of the most important tools for every sports and exercise club.

General trainer and personal trainer: A trainer should be publicly present in the club to guide people if needed. In addition to the public trainer, it should be possible for people to access a personal trainer.

Exercise Equipment: A standard gym should be fully equipped with exercise equipment. General exercise as well as warmup and stretching section, bodybuilding, and resistance exercise machines, dumbbells section, barbell section, exercises based on body weight, TRX section, etc.

Aerobic training section: It is always necessary for every gym to have a dedicated section for performing aerobic exercises. Treadmill exercises, stationary bikes, and optical exercise machines are in this category.

Profiling: Clubs must have a public profile including details for registration. It is also possible for some customers (VIP) of the sports profile department to record their physical characteristics and physical abilities by conducting a test by an expert. Today, profiling is done using software and online tools.

Workshops for customers: Providing short-duration related workshops for exercise and diet is usually nowadays around the world.

Consultant: Having a full-time consultant at the gym is recommended aimed at training programs, nutritional advice, supplement, and sports injuries. Of course, our recommendation is to have at least a degree in the field of sports science. Unfortunately, we saw some clubs use non-scientific people for advice around the world.
