Hello

Heart Rate Recovery is called HRR in abbreviation.

Suppose you have done an intense activity and after finishing it, your heart rate remains high for several minutes, which is commonly called heart palpitations. Undoubtedly, it is normal for the heart rate to remain high after an intense or fast activity, but in some people, this rate returns to the initial state much faster, and in some people, later.

The shorter the return time, the better your HRR is and vice versa.

Key points: In middle-aged people and often over 40 years old, if the HRR is not in good condition, it will be a sign of cardiovascular problems in the not-too-distant future. If you want to avoid the next problems that will happen to your health, do a simple program such as brisk walking for 20 minutes daily.

If you are worried about your health or that of your parents, take HRR seriously. We know many people who had a stroke and died after playing sports like football. Such people should not participate in intense sports. With a few months of regular training, these people can regain their health conditions and then participate in their favourite games.

I will try to release a special HRR training program for public use soon.

How to test HRR:

- Using two index and middle fingers, take your heart rate through the neck vein (carotid artery) in a sitting position for one minute.

- Perform an intense activity according to your physical condition for a maximum of 20 seconds.

- Sit for a minute. And when you are done, take your heart rate for one minute.

Calculate the difference between the first beat and the second beat. If this number was more than 18, it means that your situation in HRR is not good.

* This test may not be suitable for all people and therefore it is recommended to perform this test under the supervision of a cardiologist or a sports physiology specialist.
