You can use different formulas for calculation. If you want to proceed only based on height, weight, and gender, use the following formula.

For this purpose, you must first calculate BMI.

  Body fat % = (1.20 * BMI) + (0.23 * Age) - (10.8 * gender) - 5.4

If you want to go through the calipers, it's different for men and women

Sample measurements for men

Chest 25 mm

Abdominal: 30 ml

Thigh 15 mm

Formula For Men

457 / (1.10938 - (0.0008267 * (Thigh + Chest + Abdomen)) + (0.0000016 * (Thigh + Chest + Abdomen)2) - (0.000257 * Age)) - 414.2

Formula For Women

Hypothetical measurements for women:
triceps 10 mm
front of the thigh 15 mm
Superilliac 20 mm

[457/(1.0994921 - (0.0009929 * (Triceps + Thigh + Suprailiac)) + (0.0000023 * (Triceps + Thigh + Suprailiac)2) - (0.0001392 * Age)] - 414.2

Calculation:

19% = 457 / (1.0994921 - (0.0009929 * (10 + 15 + 20) + (0.0000023 * (10 + 15 + 20)2) - (0.0001392 * 36)) - 414.2
