Hello

Sometimes, as a result of a long-term sports activity, the amount of glycogen decreases drastically, which is called Bonking. Due to the depletion of glycogen, the person will not be able to continue the activity easily and the athlete's performance will be greatly reduced. This fatigue is more due to a lack of energy than acid accumulation. This phenomenon happens in athletes in football, Marathon runners, triathlon and other endurance sports (Long Distance).

Note: Bonkig means a decrease in blood sugar, which can be caused by glycogen depletion or hyperglycemia. The first occurs in endurance sports and the second occurs in any activity. If Bonking has happened as a result of Glucogen depletion, we will hit the wall after that. Of course, after hyperglycemia, we stop working, but it doesn't mean hitting a wall.

Good Luck
